Elgeyo Marakwet County Declares 201 Job Vacancies

The Elgeyo Marakwet County Public Service Board (CPSB) has announced vacancies across 10 county departments, opening applications for professionals to fill positions arising from natural attrition.

According to a notice issued by the board, qualified and self-motivated Kenyan citizens have been invited to apply for the advertised positions through the official county recruitment portal before the October 5, 2026 deadline.

The vacancies cover several fields, including engineering, healthcare, education, agriculture, ICT, finance, administration and youth development.

Technical, engineering and infrastructure vacancies

The Department of Roads, Public Works and Transport is seeking two Quantity Survey Assistants, two Assistant Architects, four Plant Operators and one Structural Engineer.

The department is also recruiting two Building Inspectors, two Motor Vehicle Mechanics and two Plant Mechanics.

The Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development has advertised vacancies for one Inspector of Buildings, two Firemen, one Fire Officer, one Electrical Inspector, one Inspector of Fire Services and one Assistant Electrical Engineer.

Meanwhile, the Department of Water, Environment and Climate Change is seeking two Environment and Natural Resources Officers, two Water and Sewerage Assistant Engineers, four Water Inspectors and up to 20 Plumbing Artisans.

Healthcare, education and county administration

The Department of Health Services is recruiting an Orthopedic Surgeon, five Medical Officers, one Public Health Officer and one Assistant Public Health Officer.

Other vacancies in the health department include Nutritionists, 11 Enrolled Nurses, two Registered Nurses, two Radiographers and four Anesthetists.

The Department of Education and Technical Training is seeking instructors in 11 technical areas, including clothing technology, building and construction, leatherwork, hairdressing, plumbing, carpentry, agri-business, motor vehicle technology, food processing, refrigeration and solar PV system installation.

The department is also recruiting two Graduate ECDE Teachers.

In Public Service, Administration, Devolution and ICT, the county has vacancies for a Videographer, two Graphic Designers, two Photographers, Software Developers and Digital Programming Officers.

The department is also seeking one Human Resource Officer, two HR Assistants, one Records Management Officer and four Support Staff.

Finance, agriculture, trade and sports vacancies

The Department of Finance and Economic Planning is recruiting two Accountants, two Supply Chain Officers, one Internal Auditor and two Economists.

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives has vacancies for two Veterinary Officers, three Assistant Livestock Production Officers, three Livestock Production Assistants, seven Animal Health Assistants, three Agricultural Officers, five Assistant Agricultural Officers, four Agricultural Assistants and two Cooperative Officers.

The Trade department is seeking two Industrial Development Officers, while the Sports department has advertised 20 Youth Development Officer positions and one Game Warden.

The Office of the Governor has also declared one vacancy for a Legal Officer and a Chief Officer position in Sports.

How to apply

Applicants must submit their applications online through the county’s official recruitment portal at recruitment.elgeyomarakwet.go.ke by Monday, October 5, 2026.

The board has stated that hardcopy applications will not be accepted.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted through 0790570990, while applicants have been warned that submitting forged documents is a criminal offence.
