Makueni and Maseno Universities Advertise New Job Vacancies

Makueni University College and Maseno University have announced new teaching and non-teaching job opportunities for qualified applicants, with applications closing in October 2026.

The vacancies cover academic, administrative, and technical positions, offering opportunities for professionals in education, finance, information technology, human resources, law and other fields.

In a notice dated September 22, Makueni University College, a constituent college of South Eastern Kenya University, has advertised 15 positions as it continues to expand its operations.

The vacancies include a Registrar, Academics and Student Affairs, as well as lecturer positions in Instructional Methods/Mathematics Education, Finance, and Information and Communication Technology.

“Makueni University College was established under the Makueni University College Order, Legal Notice No. 177 of 2025, as a constituent college of Southeastern Kenya University. As we continue to expand, we seek to recruit competent, dedicated, and interested professionals to join our team in shaping the future of higher education,” the institution stated.

Makueni University College Announces 15 Vacancies

The College is also seeking Tutorial Fellows in Philosophy of Education, History, Linguistics and Applied Mathematics.

Other vacancies include Assistant Director, Administration; Assistant Registrar, Academic and Student Affairs; Human Resource Management Officer II; Accounts Assistant II; Accountant I; Senior Internal Auditor I; and Office Administrator III.

Some of the positions are offered on permanent and pensionable terms, while others are on contract.

Applicants must submit five copies of their application documents by October 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The documents must include an application letter clearly indicating the position and reference number, a curriculum vitae with the contact details of at least three referees, a copy of the National Identity Card, and certified copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, and other relevant documents.

The institution said late applications will not be considered and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Maseno University Announces Teaching and Non-Teaching Jobs

Maseno University also announced vacancies across several schools, departments and directorates.

The advertised positions cover areas including Biomedical Sciences and Technology, Sociology and Anthropology, Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation, Computer Science, Art and Design, Information Technology, Commercial Law, Public Law, Private Law and Psychiatry.

The university also listed opportunities in ICT Services, Internal Audit, Security Services, Human Resources, E-Campus, Finance and Kisumu Hotel, among other departments and units.

Applicants have been directed to visit the university’s official website https://maseno.ac.ke/ to view the specific vacancies, qualifications and detailed application requirements, and send their applications by October 12, 2026.

The university warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
