Parents confronted the principal of Muthurwa Girls after claiming that their daughter had been ill at the school for three weeks and that they had struggled to obtain permission to take her home.
In a video circulating on social media, the parents entered the principal’s office and demanded to leave with their daughter, whom they said had continued to experience health problems while at the school.
According to the mother, she had visited the institution several times and followed all the required procedures in an effort to secure assistance for her daughter.
However, she said the school directed her between different offices without resolving the matter.
Initially, she sought assistance from the deputy before the nurse directed her to the principal.
The mother said the process left her moving between offices as she continued seeking help for the student.

During the confrontation, the mother told the principal that she had followed the procedures required by the school before seeking further assistance.
“I came here, nilifuata protocols. Nikienda kwa deputy ananiskuma kwa nurse, nikienda kwa nurse natumwa kwa principal,” the mother said.
Meanwhile, the father demanded that the administration release their daughter so the family could take her home after repeatedly raising concerns about her condition.
“Tutulia aje? Tupee mtoto twende. Tumeongea mara ngapi hapa?” the father asked.

As the exchange intensified, the father questioned why the family had to keep returning to the school after raising concerns about their daughter.
“Tutaita wakubwa kuliko wewe. Unajua hutujui vizuri. Kwa nini unatuongelesha vibaya? Tupatie mtoto twende,” he said.
At the same time, the mother challenged the school’s handling of her requests and said she had tried to follow the institution’s procedures.
“No, I came here, ukanifukuza, si nilikuja ukanifukuza? I called,” she told the principal.
Principal Responds
On her part, the principal referred to a previous phone conversation with the student’s father as the disagreement escalated.
“Your husband called me. I’m Chris, blah, blah, blah, okay? Akaniambia, ata ukipiga piga mimi sitakujibu. Akaniambia, izo maprotocols za kwenu, the approach was very bad. You remember that statement?” the principal said.

Following the principal’s response, the mother maintained that she had remained patient in her efforts to secure assistance for her daughter.
“I’ve been patient. I cannot hear you,” she said.
The father then continued pressing the administration to allow the family to leave with the student as the disagreement persisted.
Later, the mother emphasized the length of time the student had reportedly remained unwell at the institution.
“This is the third week, sawa? I’ve been patient enough,” she said.
