The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced cancellation of 86 Jobs they advertised to the public.

The commission reviewed the advert and cancelled the advertised posts with immediate effect without disclosing anything to the public.

“The following advertised posts are hereby cancelled,” read part of the cancellation notice.

The posts were advertised on October 28, 2025, through an official notice from the Commission.

Posts Cancelled by PSC

Among the posts cancelled by the PSC were: the Director of Foreign Service/Minister II in the Foreign Affairs department, who had requested 37 new positions (CSG 5); the Deputy Director of Foreign Service/Minister Counsellor, who had advertised 26 vacancies (CSG 6); and the Assistant Director of Foreign Service/Counsellor, who had 23 positions (CSG 7).

The earlier communication from the Commission said that the details of the posts and the mode of application were to be accessed on the Commission’s website.

All interested and qualified persons were required to make their applications online through the Commission website www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke before November 18th, 2025, at 5:00 pm.

However, the Commission warned applicants about scammers and said no charges are offered during the application.

“Beware of fraudsters soliciting bribes from the public while masquerading as Commission staff. Public Service Commission does not charge any fee for job applications, shortlisting, interviews, or appointments,” read part notice of previous notice.

PSC Role

PSC, being an independent government body, is mandated to manage human resources, fostering ethical conduct and efficiency in the public service for national development.

The Commission also has powers to abolish or situate offices within the public service based on the needs of the public.

PSC also advises the government, including the president, on different matters within and outside the public service body, like the appointments of government officials.
