Another Senator in Mourning After Death of Family Member

Condolences have started pouring in following the death of the mother of nominated Senator Consolata Wakwabubi, popularly known as Connie Wakwabubi.

Wakwabubi’s mother, Alina Namalwa, died aged 92, prompting fellow politicians and leaders to join the senator in mourning her loss.

Leaders described Namalwa as a woman of wisdom who offered guidance and support to many throughout her life.

“At 92, we celebrate a long life well lived and the legacy she leaves behind through the many lives she touched,” Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi said.

Condolence Messages

Wanyonyi extended his condolences to Wakwabubi and her family as they mourned the loss.

The late Nalmalwa’s daughter has also posted a heartfelt tribute on her X page, saying that her heart is heavy and she cannot come to terms with the loss of her mother.

“My heart is heavy, and words fail me as I come to terms with the loss of my beloved mother, Alina Namalwa Wakwabubi, who has gone to be with the Lord at the age of 92,” she said.

Connie describes her mother as more than that, saying that she was her strength, shelter, teacher, and a source of love to them.

Connie’s Tribute

“Mum, you were more than a mother. You were my strength, my shelter, my teacher, and a constant source of unconditional love. Your hands nurtured us, your words guided us, and your presence gave us a sense of home that nothing can ever replace,” she said.

According to Connie, her mother lived a meaningful life and touched the lives of many, saying that she is leaving behind a legacy that is irreplaceable.

“You lived a long and meaningful life, touching the lives of many through your kindness, wisdom, humility and love. At 92, you leave behind a legacy that will live on in your children, grandchildren, family and all those who were privileged to know you,” she said.
