President William Ruto held a three-hour meeting with Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who says his plans to invest US$200 million (about Ksh 25.8 billion) in Kenya are now taking shape.

In a statement dated September 9, Chivayo, while disclosing the meeting after their dinner, said the two discussed business, investment and infrastructure development as well as the economic opportunities available in Kenya and across Africa.

Our dinner and meeting, which lasted almost THREE HOURS, was filled with meaningful conversations about business, investment, infrastructure development and the enormous economic potential that exists across our great African continent,” Wicknell Chivayo stated.

The Zimbabwean business Tycoon said the meeting was particularly significant because his long-standing plan to invest US$200 million in Kenya through various infrastructure development projects was now moving towards reality.
