“God Has Taken Everything From Me” Sheryl Gabriella Opens Up After Losing Major Brand Deals

Digital creator Sheryl Gabriella has opened up about a difficult period in her life, revealing that she lost five major brand contracts in 2026, with the deals collectively earning her more than Ksh500,000 per month.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session,she described that moment as one of the most challenging periods she has faced after starting 2026 on what she described as a high note.

According to Sheryl, she had secured five brand contracts at the beginning of the year, with each deal reportedly paying more than Ksh100,000 per month.

She added that one of the contracts alone was worth about Ksh350,000, making the loss of the endorsements a significant financial blow.

Sheryl Says Financial Pressure Forced Her Lifestyle Change

Sheryl however said the situation changed in March when the contracts began falling apart one after another.

In addition , the content creator said some companies reportedly told her they needed to take a break and would return later, while others cited budget cuts or said they were considering working with other creators.

She also noted that another contract simply was not renewed leaving her struggling to maintain the lifestyle she had become accustomed to.

Reflecting on the difficult period, Sheryl said she felt as though she had lost everything.

“Mungu akaamua kuchukua kila kitu yake,” she said, comparing her experience to the biblical story of Job, who endured a series of devastating losses.

Furthermore, Sheryl said she was forced to reconsider her monthly expenses.

She revealed that her bills had been reaching about Ksh 200,000 per month while she was living in what she described as a mansion.

With the endorsement income no longer coming in, she made the decision to move into a smaller house to reduce her expenses.

Credits TikTok Fans for Support

Despite the loss of her major contracts, Sheryl said her online community helped her remain afloat. She credited the support she received through TikTok, including income from the platform, for helping her cope with the financial difficulties.

“Kama si lions za TikTok nilikuwa napata moja moja hapa, it would have been hard,” she said.

Her financial struggles came during a particularly painful year, following the death of her father.

The content creator has also opened up about how she turned to God for comfort after losing her father and going through a period she described as chaotic.

She said she asked God for a sign that everything would eventually be okay, and found comfort in a worship song.

Worship Song Gives Sheryl Comfort

Sheryl revealed that the song became particularly meaningful after she listened to it and checked its translation.

She said the message in the worship song gave her a sense of calm during a difficult period and eventually became part of her daily routine.

“I had to check out its translation, and it immediately became my favourite worship song. I listen to it every morning and evening. It calms me,” she said.

She further explained that listening to the song every morning and evening has helped her cope with the loss of her father and the challenges she has faced throughout the year.

Sheryl also encouraged people going through difficult moments to hold on to their faith, saying she believes God has not forgotten those facing hard times.
