How to Apply for HELB Loan & Required Documents
Share
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) finances students in tertiary institutions to help them continue with their studies.
HELB offers financial support programs such as scholarships, sponsorships, upkeep funds, and tuition loans, among others.
However, for a student to benefit from the HELB program, they must submit an application for verification to determine their eligibility.
During the verification process, HELB assesses the documents provided by applicants to determine their level of financial need and the type of support they qualify for.
HELB gives higher priority to needy and orphaned students than to those who have the financial ability to support their education.
Additionally, students who qualify for HELB loan must be placed either through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), self-sponsored, parallel, or be module II students studying for a bachelor’s degree only.
