How DCI Foiled Organised Crime Network in Trans Nzoia and Seized Tactical Gear

Share

Police in Trans Nzoia County have arrested two suspects linked to organised criminal activities following an intelligence-led operation that also led to the recovery of weapons and tactical gear.

The suspects were taken into custody during a coordinated raid in Chebarus and Kibomet areas of Trans Nzoia West Sub-County.

Officers from Kitale Police Station teamed up with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Headquarters to carry out the operation.

Acting on intelligence reports, the team moved into the targeted areas and launched a well-planned raid.

As a result, officers arrested Dickson Wamocho and Frank Kuyala without incident. Security teams then secured the scene and expanded the search to nearby locations.

Weapons and Tactical Items Recovered

During the search, officers recovered several items suspected of supporting criminal activity. These included a military-style tactical uniform, two pairs of combat boots, a sword, metal rods and multiple mobile phones.

In addition, investigators believe the items may have played a role in planning or facilitating organised criminal operations. However, they continue to examine the evidence to establish the exact connection to the suspects.
