Inspekta Mwala Becomes First Kenyan to Win Medal in Dwarf 60m Race

Popular Kenyan actor and comedian Inspekta Mwala has made history after becoming the first Kenyan to win a medal in the 60 metres race category during the Dwarf Sports Association event held in the United Kingdom.

Following his victory, Mwala joked about his return to Kenya, adding about being recognized for his achievement at the highest level.

He stated that President William Ruto should declare a public holiday in his honour and also invite him for an exclusive State Dinner at State House, Kenya.

“Becoming the first Kenyan to win in this race is historic. Hiyo furaha ya Arsenal haiwezi fikia hii. When I land from the UK, President @WilliamsRuto must declare a public holiday & thereafter invite me for an exclusive State Dinner at State House, Kenya. Congratulations to me,” Mwala stated.

Inspekta Mwala Wins 60M at Dwarf Sports Association Games

Mwala further confirmed his participation in the competition through a video message shared after the event, where he expressed pride in representing Kenya on the international stage.

He also addressed doubts surrounding his participation and victory, insisting he was indeed part of the race.

 “Mimi ni huyo mdogo hapo ndani mlisema mnataka kuona video kwa uwanja… ndiyo hiyo. Nimewakilisha Kenya in the National Dwarf Games organized by Dwarf Sports Association, London – UK,” said Inspekta Mwala.

Meanwhile, Mwala travelled to the UK as a brand ambassador for “Base Yetu,” an organization.

Kenyans Congratulates Mwala on His Achievement

The achievement also sparked conversations about representation in sports and the importance of creating opportunities for athletes of all backgrounds and physical conditions.

Many Kenyans praised Inspekta Mwala for challenging stereotypes and showing that talent and determination can open doors in different fields.

Others noted that his participation could encourage more people living with dwarfism to pursue athletics and competitive sports without fear or limitation.

Dwarf Sports Association is a sporting charity that aims to make regular sporting opportunities accessible and enjoyable to anyone and everyone with dwarfism in the United Kingdom, regardless of their race, colour, ethnic origin, gender, location, sporting ability, or financial support.

It caters to individuals with different forms of dwarfism, typically including those with a height of up to 5 feet (152.4 cm), depending on classification and medical conditions.
