Dennis Itumbi has responded to claims that Kithure Kindiki’s personal assistant was removed from the State House WhatsApp group at 4 a.m.

In a post that Itumbi made on X, he says that he forgot to remove Francis Gachuri from another group and that he should make it easy for him to be removed from all groups.

The claims have been circulating on social media with netizens linking the alleged removal to ongoing political developments with the government.

“Nilisahau kukutoa huko pia. Wacha niscroll kidogo nimalize kazi. Ama unishow tu, we make it easier kukutoa kwa group zote. Na tafadhali, kama uko na link ya hii WhatsApp group ya “Ujinga na Uwongo Kila Siku.” Share with me kwa inbox. Naona creatives zake huwa zinatoka mapema kuliko notifications zangu. Sitaki kupitwa na agenda za kila siku.Umbea, walinishow, haitaki uvivu.Sina mengi ya kusema kwa sasa,” he said.

The Claims

While Itumbi did not directly confirm or deny whether Gachuri had been removed from any specific State House WhatsApp group, his remarks appeared to ridicule the reports and those spreading them online.

Many accounts on X have posted that Gachuri has been removed from the State House WhatsApp group without explaining the reason.

“DP Kindiki’s Head of Communication and PA Francis Gachuri removed from State House WhatsApp group at wee hours of the night (04:20:13 AM) shortly after the first cock crow,” DCP TV among other X accounts posted.

Despite the widespread online speculation, neither the office of the president nor the deputy president has publicly addressed the claims or issued a statement regarding that matter.

Online Reactions

Itumbi’s response has since generated mixed reactions online, with many netizens asking if the matter is actually true.

Ngano said, “Imagine a whole government official openly tweeting like an admin who takes WhatsApp group cleanup way too seriously.”

“You got some balls. How do you expect to exchange with a man who has a name to protect Online? A man who is a professional, with a public image to protect,” said Black.

“The power of admin in WhatsApp groups, I thought we only have that problem down here where admin wakes up,mutes the group, removes people he/she feels are not aligned to their dictatorship,” Sophie said.

As the story continues to make rounds on social media, the claims have not been verified by anyone from statehouse and at the moment they are only speculations.
