KCB Announces Mass Scholarship Opportunities for Youths in Select County

KCB Foundation in partnership with the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet, has announced mass scholarship opportunities for youths in the county under the 2Jiajiri Programme.
In a notice dated Tuesday, May 19 2026, the programme will offer Grade 3 Level scholarships for various technical and vocational courses at selected Vocational Training Centres across Elgeyo Marakwet County.
“Dear Applicant, we are excited that you are applying for the 2Jiajiri Programme,” read part of the notice.
KCB Opens 2Jiajiri Scholarship Intake in Elgeyo Marakwet
According to the scholarship application notice released for the June 2026 intake, interviews for shortlisted applicants will be conducted between June 2 and June 5, 2026, at the listed training institutions.
The deadline for submitting applications has been set for May 26, 2026.
The scholarship programme targets young people aged between 18 and 34 years who are residents of Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Application Requirements
Applicants must possess a National Identity Card and should be willing to undertake training in any of the selected institutions within the county.
To qualify, candidates must also be able to read and write in either Kiswahili or English and commit to attending all training sessions, including industrial attachment opportunities within their area of residence.
The programme is open to applicants falling under three categories, including Skillers, Apprentices and Business Owners.

Additional Guidelines
KCB Foundation noted that admission into the programme will be based on a competitive selection process.
Applicants have also been advised to fill in the application form completely and clearly, as only fully completed applications will be considered.

Candidates attending interviews will be required to present their original National Identity Card together with certificates showing their highest academic qualifications. Failure to provide the documents during the interview stage will lead to automatic disqualification.
The foundation further stated that all applicants will be given equal opportunity without discrimination based on disability, gender, religion, ethnicity or regional background.
KCB Foundation also said it remains committed to protecting vulnerable persons against abuse, exploitation, harassment and discrimination.
The lender added that all personal information collected during the application process will be handled in line with the Data Protection Act and other applicable data privacy laws.
