The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has ruled out extending the deadline for filing 2025 Income Tax Returns, urging taxpayers who have not yet submitted their returns to do so before June 30.
In a statement issued on Saturday, June 27, KRA said all taxpayers with an income tax obligation must file their returns by midnight on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in line with the law.
“KRA wishes to remind taxpayers that there will be no extension of the filing deadline. All returns must be submitted on or before 30th June 2026, in accordance with the law,” the Authority said.

“Filing your tax return is more than a legal obligation; it is a contribution to national development. Every return filed supports transparency, strengthens the tax system, and helps the Government finance essential public services that benefit all Kenyans,” KRA added.

Working Hours Extended by the Authority Ahead of Tax Return Filing Deadline
In addition, KRA has extended working hours across its customer support channels, including the KRA Contact Centre, social media platforms, Huduma Centres, KRA Service Centres, and Ushuru Mashinani Service Partners nationwide, to ensure taxpayers receive timely assistance.
