KUCCPS Announces New Deadline for KMTC September 2026 Intake

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has extended the deadline for applications for the September 2026 intake to midnight today, Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The application window was initially scheduled to close on Monday, September 14, but KMTC has given prospective students an additional day to submit their applications.

“The KMTC September 2026 intake applications are still open until Midnight today. Apply now!!”

KMTC Courses Available

The September 2026 intake offers a range of certificate and diploma courses for students seeking training in different health-related fields.

Certificate courses available include Community Health Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Health Insurance Management, Health Records and Information Technology, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine and Public Health.

For diploma applicants, KMTC has listed courses such as Community Health, Health Counselling, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Orthopaedic Technology, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Applicants Urged to Check Requirements

Applicants have been advised to confirm that they meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred course before submitting their applications.

The official KUCCPS advertisement provides the required mean grades, subject requirements and campuses for each programme.

The September 2026 intake targets eligible applicants seeking admission to KMTC’s certificate and diploma programmes, with applications submitted online through the KUCCPS Student Portal.

KUCCPS had earlier confirmed that candidates from the 2025 KCSE cohort would have an opportunity to apply for the September 2026 KMTC intake.

Candidates who repeated specific subjects to qualify for KMTC programmes were also eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Prospective students are required to submit their applications through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.

Eligible applicants can access the application portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke and complete the required steps before the extended deadline.

KMTC has urged interested applicants to use the additional time to complete their applications before the portal closes at midnight.

Applicants are advised not to wait until the last minute to complete the process.
