Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency Announces Job Vacancies

The Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency has announced six job vacancies, including five permanent and pensionable positions, as it seeks to strengthen its workforce with experienced professionals.

In a notice dated August 25, the agency invited applications from competent, results-oriented, visionary, and experienced professionals to fill positions in infrastructure development, waterworks planning, environmental safeguards, resource mobilisation, and finance.

The agency was established under the Water Act 2016 and is among the nine Water Works Development Agencies in Kenya.

Its mandate covers water and sanitation works in Vihiga, Kakamega, Nandi, Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia and Busia counties.

“The Agency is mandated by the Act to carry out water and sanitation works in the following counties: Vihiga, Kakamega, Nandi, Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia and Busia. In line with the need to realize our mandate, the Agency seeks to recruit competent, result-oriented, visionary, and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the notice.

Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency Announces 5 Permanent Jobs and 1 Contract Position

According to the notice, the positions are classified between grades LVN 2 and LVN 6. Of the six vacancies, five are offered on permanent and pensionable terms, while the Director, Infrastructure Development position is offered on a contract basis.

The permanent and pensionable positions include the three Deputy Director roles as well as the Principal Finance and Accounts Officer and Senior Finance and Accounts Officer positions.

They include :

• Director, Infrastructure Development — one position on contract.
• Deputy Director, Water Works Infrastructure Planning and Design — one permanent and pensionable position.
• Deputy Director, Environment and Social Safeguards — one permanent and pensionable position.
• Deputy Director, Planning and Resource Mobilization — one permanent and pensionable position.
• Principal Finance and Accounts Officer — one permanent and pensionable position.
• Senior Finance and Accounts Officer — one permanent and pensionable position.

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to submit a detailed CV containing their daytime and evening telephone numbers.

Additionally, Lake Victoria North Water Works Development Agency noted that applications should include a copy of the applicant’s ID and certified copies of academic and professional certificates.

Candidates are advised to check the agency’s website for the specific academic, professional and experience requirements for each vacancy.

Successful applicants will be required to provide several clearance documents including a Tax Compliance Certificate, HELB Clearance Certificate, CRB Clearance Certificate, Certificate of Good Conduct and EACC Clearance Certificate.

Furthermore, the agency stated that applicants should clearly indicate the position they are applying for and submit their applications via email to recruitment@lvnwwda.go.ke,  addressed to the CEO, before Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 5:00 pm.

The agency has encouraged women, persons with disabilities, and minority groups who meet the requirements to apply.

It has also cautioned applicants against canvassing, stating that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
