Ministry of ICT Announces Audit Committee Vacancy for Qualified Kenyans

The Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy has announced a vacancy for the position of Member of the Ministerial Audit Committee.

In a public notice issued by the State Department for ICT and the Digital Economy on May 12, 2026, the ministry invites qualified and interested Kenyans to apply for the role in line with Public Finance Management regulations.

According to the notice, applicants must hold a degree from a recognized university and have at least five years of work experience.

The ministry also said candidates should be members of a professional body in good standing and have knowledge of public service or government operations, including experience in risk management.

The notice further stated that applicants must “be a person of integrity and in compliance with requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.”

Documents Needed for Application

Interested candidates have been asked to submit their applications together with a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a copy of their national identity card, and testimonials.

Applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Member of Audit Committee.”

The ministry directed applicants to address their documents to:

“The Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, P.O Box 30025-00100 Nairobi.”

Applicants may also hand-deliver their documents to Teleposta Towers, 10th Floor, Cabinet Secretary’s Office.

Deadline for Applications

The ministry said all applications must be submitted by May 26, 2026.

The notice also stated that successful candidates will be required to present clearance certificates from several government agencies.

“The appointed candidate shall be required to produce clearance certificates from the National Police Service, HELB, KRA, EACC, and clearance from any accredited Credit Reference Bureau.”

The ministry cautioned applicants against attaching original documents to their applications.

It also reminded the applicants that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
