Ministry of Interior Announces 67 Job Vacancies, Including Cook Positions: How to Apply

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration, through the State Department for Correctional Services, has announced 67 job vacancies across various departments and invited qualified Kenyans to apply before the August 3, 2026, deadline.

In a notice dated July 8, the department said the vacancies include positions for Cook III, Housekeeping Assistant III, Security Warden II, and Artisan III.

“The State Department for Correctional Services seeks to recruit suitable and qualified persons for the following vacant posts,” read part of the statement.

How to Apply

Interested and qualified applicants are required to submit their applications online through the Public Service Commission (PSC) website or the PSC jobs portal.

The State Department said all applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. (East African Time) on August 3, 2026.

“To apply for the jobs and for more information, interested and qualified persons are required to visit the Public Service Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke, or the jobs portal: www.psckjobs.go.ke. Applications must be submitted ONLINE on or before 3 August 2026 (latest 5:00 P.M. East African Time),” the Interior Ministry stated.

The department further cautioned applicants against providing false information, noting that submitting incorrect details in the application form is an offence.

It also directed applicants not to include academic or professional qualifications that have not been obtained by the closing date of the advertisement.

In addition, the State Department for Correctional Services stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and will be required to present original copies of their National Identity Card, academic certificates, professional certificates, and transcripts during interviews.

The ministry further warned that canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.

The State Department for Correctional Services said it is committed to providing equal and fair employment opportunities and encouraged persons with disabilities, as well as applicants from marginalized and minority communities, to apply.
