Mosiria Speaks After Being Involved in Road Accident

Share

Nairobi County Executive Committee Member Geoffrey Mosiria has spoken out after being involved in a road accident, sharing a detailed account of the incident through a video posted on his official Instagram page.

In the video, Mosiria narrates that the accident, which happened on Outering road in Nairobi, involved a lorry which he claims deliberately rammed into his vehicle.

According to Mosiria, the lorry driver hit his car twice, raising concerns about the nature of the accident.

“He hit us once, and then came back and hit us again,” Mosiria said in the video, adding that the second impact made him fear the lorry driver’s intentions.

Mosiria said the lorry was on a different lane, but it kept on moving to the lane that he was in just to hit the car he was using with his team.

He further alleged that the actions of the lorry driver appeared intentional

He claims that the driver may have been targeting him and his team.

“I even asked him, do you want to kill us ?” Mosiria said.

Despite the accident, Mosiria confirmed that he and the people he was with survived the incident.

No One Was Injured

He expressed gratitude for their safety, noting that the outcome could have been far worse.

The video also showed the extent of damage to his vehicle, although he did not provide specific details on injuries or whether anyone else was harmed during the accident.

Mosiria says they talked to the lorry driver and asked him if he wanted to kill him together with his team.

The video shows the lorry driver apologising to Mosiria, claiming that he did not do it on purpose.

Mosiria Claimed It Was Not A Normal Accident

However, Mosiria said he was convinced that the driver of the lorry that hit his car wanted them dead.

He further said that some people die in what appear to be accidents, but they are not.

Mosiria explained in the video that he was coming from assisting a mother who lost her child to arrest a suspect of the murder.

“Natoka kusaidia kushika muuaji na tena wanataka kuniua,” he said. This translates to: “I have come from helping to arrest a suspected murderer, and now they almost killed me.”

Online Reactions

Following the post, members of the public took to social media to react, with many expressing concern over his safety while calling for action on the lorry driver.

Others urged road users to remain cautious, amid ongoing concerns about road safety across the country.

Further details are expected to emerge as investigations continue taking place.
