Multiple Hauliers (EA) Limited (MHEAL) has entered administration after the appointment of joint administrators, dealing a major blow to the transport and logistics firm.

In a notice dated July 27, 2026, NCBA Bank Kenya PLC appointed Muniu Thoithi and George Weru of PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited as joint administrators under Section 534 of the Insolvency Act.

“Notice is hereby given that Messrs Muniu Thoithi and George Weru of PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited were appointed by NCBA Bank Kenya PLC as Joint Administrators of MHEAL pursuant to section 534 of the Insolvency Act 2015 of Kenya,” read part of the notice.

Following the appointment, the administrators have taken full control of the company and are now steering its operations and financial decisions.

At the same time, they will assess whether the business can recover or deliver better returns to creditors through restructuring.

“The primary objective of administration proceedings under the Insolvency Act is to allow the Administrators, licensed insolvency practitioners, to explore ways of rescuing the company either as a going concern where feasible or achieving a better outcome for the creditors of the company than would be in the case of a liquidation,” the notice stated.

Administrators Take Over All Multiple Hauliers Affairs

As a result, all operational and administrative matters must now go through the administrators or their authorized representatives, effectively sidelining previous management.

Meanwhile, the administrators have directed all creditors to submit their claims within 14 days so that they can compile a complete register of creditors.

“The Joint Administrators act on behalf of the Company without any personal liability,” the notice clarified.

Other Companies Under Administration in Kenya in 2026

Meanwhile, Multiple Hauliers Limited joins a growing list of companies that have entered administration in 2026 as financial pressure mounts across sectors.

For instance, Glee Hotel Limited entered statutory administration effective July 6, 2026, after Equity Bank Kenya Limited moved to recover debts estimated between Ksh 7.75 billion and Ksh 9.1 billion.

Earlier, Koko Networks entered administration in January 2026 after a dispute with the government over carbon credit approvals disrupted its revenue streams and forced operational setbacks.
