The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has reminded motor vehicle owners with uncollected physical logbooks that they have five months left to pick up their documents before the Authority disposes of them.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the authority urged all vehicle owners who still have their logbooks at its offices to collect them as soon as possible to avoid inconveniences.
The reminder referred to the public notice the Authority issued on Thursday, June 11, 2026, regarding the collection of physical logbooks.
“In reference to the Public Notice issued by the Authority on Thursday, 11th June 2026. It is 5 months to the deadline, and we urge all motor vehicle owners who still have their logbooks at NTSA offices to collect them as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences,” the notice stated.
NTSA Sets Six-Month Deadline for Logbook Collection
In the June 11 notice, the authority informed motor vehicle owners that it would not store currently printed and yet-to-be-collected logbooks for more than six months.
The Authority stated that all documents that remain uncollected after the period will be disposed of in accordance with its policy.
“The Authority wishes to inform all motor vehicle owners that NTSA WILL NOT store currently printed and yet to be collected logbooks for more than a period of six (6) months,” The authority stated.

The Authority stated that clients will not access such services unless they attach the current or original logbook during their applications.
Logbook Collection Requirements
Meanwhile, the authority clarified that collecting the physical logbooks does not require any payment.
Instead, vehicle owners must carry their previous logbook and identification document for verification at the collection centre or NTSA office.
“Collection of logbooks is free. Carry the previous logbook and present your identification document at the collection centre/NTSA office for verification purposes,” the authority added.
Furthermore, the authority advised motorists to visit its offices during working hours to complete the collection process.
The Authority’s offices operate from Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm, to provide clients with the necessary support.
