NTSA Warns Motor Vehicle Owners of Risk of Being Blocked from Accessing Services

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has warned motor vehicle owners that they will not be able to access services requiring a copy of a logbook unless they attach the current or original logbook to their applications.
According to a notice, the Authority urged vehicle owners who have not yet collected their physical logbooks from NTSA offices to do so as soon as possible to avoid inconveniences when seeking services.

NTSA to Dispose of Uncollected Logbooks After Given Period
NTSA also announced that it will not store currently printed but uncollected physical logbooks for more than six months.

The Authority said all uncollected logbooks will be disposed of in accordance with its policy after the given period.
NTSA has therefore urged all motor vehicle owners whose logbooks remain at its offices to collect them before the storage period expires.
Vehicle owners collecting their logbooks have been advised to carry their previous logbook and identification document for verification at the collection centre or NTSA office.
NTSA clarified that logbook collection is free and added that its offices are open Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm, to provide customers with the necessary support.

NTSA said vehicle owners can access assistance through all NTSA offices and Huduma Centres.
