Passengers Warned of Flight Delays at Kenyan Airports

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has announced that some departing flights are currently experiencing delays at various Kenyan airports.

KAA said it is working with aviation agencies, airlines and other stakeholders to manage the delays, minimise disruptions and ensure smooth airport operations.

“KAA is working closely with the relevant aviation agencies, airlines, and other stakeholders to manage the situation, minimise disruption, and facilitate the smooth flow of airport operations,” KAA said

Passengers have been advised to reach out to the respective airlines they are using to get latest updates on their flight status and plan their journeys accordingly.

Cause Of Delays

However the cause of the delays has not yet been disclosed by KAA but they assure passengers that the matter is being looked at and will be resolved as soon as possible.

Additionally KAA has apologised to passengers for the inconvenience it has caused and thanks them for their patience and understanding.

“KAA regrets the inconvenience caused and appreciates the patience and understanding of passengers and other airport users as the situation is addressed,” KAA said in the statement.

This advisory comes as airlines operating from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport continue to encourage travellers to verify their flight details before heading to the airport whenever such operational changes occur.

Situation Is Being Monitored

KAA said it will continue monitoring the situation and provide further updates as the situation continues to develop.

The authority, which recently transitioned to Kenya Airports Authority PLC (KAA), reiterated its commitment to working with industry stakeholders to maintain efficient airport operations while keeping passengers informed of any changes that affect their travel plans.

In addition KAA is responsible for managing and operating Kenya’s major airports, including Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Moi International Airport, Kisumu International Airport, and several other airports across the country, making timely communication essential whenever flight operations are affected.
