‘Pray for Kalonzo’: Tuju Makes Emotional Appeal as Wife Battles Illness

Raphael Tuju asks Kenyans to pray for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his wife is battling an illness and has been sick for some time.

Tuju made these remarks while speaking to a congregation, emotionally telling Kenyans to pray for Kalonzo as he is experiencing a hard time due to his wife being sick.

“Pray for his excellency Kalonzo Musyoka; he has his wife who has been unwell for some time. And through all this, he still has the strength to go around the country campaigning,” Tuju said

He also said that despite Kalonzo having a sick wife, he still gets enough time to travel across the country to campaign and that Kenyans should support him with prayers.

Additionally, Tuju said that Kalonzo needs prayers from Kenyans because Kenyans roads are not safe, while he also mentioned that planes are also not safe.

“And I was involved with my brother Kalonzo Musyoka in the campaign for Kibaki; our roads are very dangerous, but he is going by road all over.

Even our aircraft are very dangerous; people have died in choppers and planes, so this is not an easy thing. It’s a matter of life and death, and I would like you to please remember honourable Kalonzo Musyoka in your prayers,” he said.

Tuju’s remarks connected Kalonzo’s personal situation with the realities of constant travel, recalling his own experience campaigning alongside him during former President Mwai Kibaki’s campaigns.

He said those experiences had shown him the risks that come with spending countless hours on Kenyan roads and frequent flights.

His comments have since drawn attention online, with many Kenyans reacting to the public appeal and expressing sympathy for Kalonzo and his family while wishing his wife a speedy recovery.

“It proves that Kalonzo is a very Selfish Man!.. Your Wife, is bedridden, yet you go around gallivanting…What has he done for 40 years…Kalonzo feels entitled merely because he was Raila beck and call,” said Gladys.

“This is a coded message. Tuju has been a conduit, a mido man in a lot of political formations. He’s an agent of doom, that one,” James said.

As of Tuju’s remarks, neither Kalonzo Musyoka nor the Wiper Party had issued additional public details about his wife’s illness
