Raila Odinga Junior has explained the absence of his uncle, Oburu Oginga Odinga, from the commissioning of the late Raila Odinga’s mausoleum at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi in Bondo, Siaya County.

Speaking during the ceremony on Wednesday, October 7, Raila Junior conveyed Oburu’s greetings and appreciation to the people who attended the event.

He also apologised for his uncle’s inability to join the family and other guests at the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Ida Odinga gave further details about Oburu’s absence, saying he could not attend the ceremony because he was unwell.

She also asked those present to continue praying for his recovery.

“Before I say anything else, please allow me to convey, once again, apologies of my senior brother-in-law, Dr. Oburu Oginga, who is unfortunately unable to be with us today because he’s unwell. I know we’ll continue to pray for him, and soon he will be with us again here,” Ida said.
