Salute iWorld Denies Receivership Claims, Threatens to Sue Nation Media

Apple Authorized Reseller Salute iWorld has dismissed reports of receivership, calling the reports published by the Daily Nation and Business Daily “false, misleading and defamatory”.

The company stated on July 28 that it remains financially stable and is running its normal business operations in all stores.

The board demanded an immediate correction of the false reports and an apology, adding that they have instructed their lawyer to pursue all available legal remedies against the Nation Media Group for spreading malicious misinformation.

“We demand an immediate correction of the false reports and an apology,” the company said.

The firm added the stories had created unwarranted anxiety among customers, suppliers, employees, and financial stakeholders.

“We wish to make the very clear statement that Salute iWorld has not been placed under receivership. We are a sound and reliable business with continued normal business activities in all our stores,” the company indicated.

iWorld said it has invested billions of shillings in Kenya and recently invested over Ksh10 million in the enhancement of its flagship stores based on new retail concepts and customer experience.

Stores Operated by iWorld in Kenya

As per the report by the company, it currently has 9 stores in Kenya, at Westgate Mall, The Junction Mall, Yaya Centre, Village Market, Garden City Mall, Galleria Shopping Mall, Capital Center, JKIA Terminal 1A and IPS Building.

The retailer also announced that it has Banking and Financing relationships with KCB Group, Standard Chartered Bank, NCBA Group, I&M Bank, Flexpay and Spotit.

Salute iWorld Addressing Customers and Suppliers

It also called on customers, suppliers, and business partners to depend exclusively on the authorized communication of the group.

“All our stores are open, all our suppliers are operating, and we are committed to serving our customers, business partners and the Kenyan market with integrity,” said Salute iWorld.
