SHA Announces 54 Job Vacancies: How to Apply

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced 54 new job opportunities and revoked an earlier recruitment of 54 Office Administrators II position and placed an advert of it on its recruitment portal for staff augmentation.

In the advert, SHA stated that the vacancy for Office Administrator II Grade 8, posted on November 18, 2025, had been canceled.

“The advert of the following post, published on the previous vacancy notice dated November 18th, 2025, has been CANCELED”, it said.

Under the new recruitment, 47 vacancies have been advertised for Administration Officers Grade 7, and seven for Senior Assistant Office Administrator Grade 6 positions.

SHA Staff Recruitment and Eligibility Criteria

SHA said the move to hire new staff, which is the second in recent days, aims to recruit visionary, result-driven and experienced professionals to enhance service delivery for the purposes of implementing its mandate under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023.

According to SHA, the organization is tasked with managing the following;

• Social Health Insurance Fund.
• Primary Healthcare Fund.
• Emergency.
• Chronic and Critical Illness fund.

Applicants must have met Chapter Six requirements of the constitution by attaching a Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI, a Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA, a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) and a report from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

Job Application Requirements and Process

Job seekers are expected to submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), academic and professional certificates and a cover letter.

The application should also contain contacts of at least three referees and should either be sent through an online portal, https://recruitment.sha.go.ke, or delivered in person to the SHA building, 10th floor along Ragati Road, Nairobi.

“The officer once appointed shall hold a permanent and pensionable position according to the Authority’s policies”, SHA explained, adding it offered competitive remuneration as advised by the SRC.

The deadline for applications is 5 pm on the 30th of June 2026, SHA said, while affirming that it was an equal opportunity employer, committed to gender equality and that any lobbying would lead to automatic disqualification.
