The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has urged parents and guardians to confirm their children’s registration details for the 2026 national assessments and KCSE exam by April 30th, 2026.
In a statement on Monday, April 20, KNEC said the confirmation is crucial for ensuring accuracy in all recorded information.
KNEC said the accurate registration information will allow KNEC to smoothly deliver exam papers and ensure no learner who is supposed to participate misses out.
The council encouraged parents to check registration status for learners undertaking the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2026.

KNEC advised that mistakes in candidate details, gender and subject entries may result in delays in correction and potentially affect the candidates during exams.
Parents should get in touch with their children’s head teachers before the deadline with any inquiries.
KNEC has put more effort into ensuring data integrity as part of the verification exercise, one of the preparatory measures taken before the start of the 2026 exam cycle.
Less than two weeks are remaining for the parents to do the verification and check with the school before April 30th deadline.
