The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has issued the weather forecast for the next five days.

In a forecast issued on December 22nd, 2025, Kenya Met said the forecast will start from December 23rd, 2025, to December 27th, 2025.

According to Kenya Met, occasional rainfall is expected over the southern half of the country.

At the same time, strong southeasterly winds, exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s), are anticipated over Marsabit counties.

Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley

These region comprises of counties like Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot.

Morning rains and sunny intervals will be experienced over few places.

Showers and thunderstorms over a few places are likely to occur in the afternoon and night.

Maximum temperatures will be at 32°C and minimum temperatures will be 07°C.

North-western

Turkana and Samburu Counties will experience sunny intervals in the morning.

Kenya Met said sunny intervals will be experienced in the afternoon.

Nights will be partly cloudy.

Maximum temperatures will be at 37°C, while minimum temperatures will be at 16°C.

Highlands East of the Rift Valley

In the morning, cloudy weather breaking into sunny intervals will occur.

Kenya Met said showers and thunderstorms over a few places in the afternoon and sunny intervals.

Nights will be partly cloudy and chance of showers over few places.

Maximum temperatures will range from 29°C and minimum temperatures 05°C.

Counties in this region include: Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi.

North-eastern

This region has five counties, namely: Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo.

Rains and sunny intervals in the morning overa few places.

Afternoon showers and sunny intervals are likely to occur.

Nights will be partly cloudy.

Maximum temperatures will be at 37°C and minimum temperatures will be at 16°C.

South-eastern lowlands

Kenya Met said the morning will be cloudy with light rains breaking into sunny intervals.

After showers and sunny intervals are likely to occur.

Nights will be partly cloudy with a few chances of showers.

Maximum temperatures will be 32°C and minimum temperatures will be 13°C.

These region comprises of counties like Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta Counties, as well as inland parts of Tana River County.

Coast

Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties, as well as coastal parts of Tana River County, are counties in the coastal region.

Morning showers over a few places.

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms over a few places and sunny intervals.

Nights will be partly cloudy and showers over a few places.

Maximum temperatures will be 34°C and minimum temperatures will be 23°C.
