KNEC Directs School Heads to Collect 2024 Exam Certificates

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that the March, July and November 2024 TVET examination certificates are ready for collection.
The Council is now calling upon Heads of Institutions that presented candidates for the 2024 Business and Technical examinations to pick up the certificates from its offices.
In a public notice, KNEC stated that the certificates are available at New Mitihani House in Nairobi.
Candidates are expected to collect their certificates directly from their respective colleges after the institutions complete the collection process.
Certificates Ready for Collection
According to the circular, “the certificates are ready for collection at New Mitihani House, Nairobi. Candidates can collect the certificates from their colleges.”
This announcement brings relief to thousands of TVET candidates who sat for the 2024 examinations under the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) framework and the East African regional collaboration (EARC) guidelines.

Heads of institutions have been urged to act promptly to avoid delays in issuing the certificates to graduates, many of whom require the documents for employment, further studies, or professional accreditation.
Guidelines on Queries and Deadlines
KNEC has also outlined clear procedures for raising concerns related to the certificates.
Queries must be submitted in writing through the Heads of Institutions.

Alternatively, institutions can raise issues online via the QMIS portal on the KNEC website.
The Council emphasized that all queries must reach KNEC within 60 days of the certificate release. Any queries submitted after June 30, 2026, will attract a penalty fee of Ksh5,000.
KNEC congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged institutions to ensure smooth and timely distribution of the certificates.
