IEBC Announces New Job Openings With Daily Pay

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced a fresh round of temporary job opportunities ahead of upcoming by-elections, offering competitive daily pay for successful applicants.

According to the commission, the vacancies target various roles critical to the smooth management of electoral processes.

The positions include Polling Clerks/Counting Clerks, Voter Registration Clerks, Ward-based Voter Educators, ICT Clerks, County Voter Educators, Constituency Voter Educators, Support Electoral Trainers, Logistics Officers, Presiding Officers, and Deputy Presiding Officers.

Breakdown of Pay Rates

Through their website, the commission disclosed the remuneration rates for the roles.

Polling Clerks and Counting Clerks will earn Ksh1,000 per day, while Voter Registration Clerks, ICT Clerks, Ward-based Voter Educators, and Logistics Officers will each receive Ksh1,500 per day.

For senior positions, the pay is slightly higher. Presiding Officers will be paid Ksh2,000 per day, while their deputies will earn Ksh1,800.

Support Electoral Trainers and Constituency Voter Educators will each earn Ksh2,000 per day, with County Voter Educators receiving the highest daily rate of Ksh2,500.

The commission emphasized that these roles are key to ensuring credible and transparent electoral processes, particularly in the upcoming by-elections.

“IEBC is committed to hiring competent and dedicated individuals who will uphold the integrity of the electoral process,” IEBC announced through their website.

Application Deadline and Process

Applicants interested in the positions are required to submit their applications through the official IEBC jobs portal.

The deadline for applications is October 16, 2025.

Call to Qualified Applicants

The commission has urged qualified Kenyans, particularly those with prior experience in election management, to apply for the roles.

Successful applicants will undergo training before deployment.

These job opportunities come at a time when IEBC is stepping up preparations to strengthen electoral processes and enhance voter confidence across the country.
