Fresh allegations surrounding the death of former d.light CEO Nick Imudia has resurfaced online.
This is after claims emerged linking the late Nigerian executive to an alleged blackmail dispute, which involves a woman who is identified as Diana Kavetsa.
Diana Kavetsa was Imudia’s personal assistant, and they grew to have a romantic relationship in the office.
The allegations, which have widely circulated on blogs and social media platforms in recent days, claim Kavetsa allegedly threatened to expose details of their affair and pregnancy involving Imudia unless some financial demands were met.
The financial demands were Ksh 8.5 million to be paid to Diana in three instalments within a period of two months.
Diana told Imudia that without the cash, she was going to report the matter to his wife and the board of directors.
Some reports further allege that lawyers representing the two parties drafted a non-disclosure agreement tied to the payments for the alleged unborn child’s education.
However, no official police findings, court records, or verified DNA evidence confirming the allegations have been publicly released.

Imudia died in June 2024 after reportedly falling from the balcony of his apartment in Lagos, Nigeria, an incident that shocked Africa’s corporate and technology sectors.
At the time of his death, the 44-year-old businessman was serving as Group CEO of d.light, a global solar energy company with operations across Africa and Asia.
Initial reports by Nigerian media indicated that police were investigating the possibility of suicide after claims that the executive had made distress calls before his death.
However, Imudia’s family later rejected the reports describing the incident as suicide.
They insisted that investigations were still ongoing and accused sections of the media of rushing to conclusions.
Family members also disputed claims that Imudia had made farewell calls before his death.
The renewed attention on the matter comes after the circulation of alleged WhatsApp conversations between Kavetsa and Imudia.
The screenshots and allegations remain unverified, and authorities in both Kenya and Nigeria have not publicly commented on the latest claims.
Before joining d.light in 2022, Imudia had built a reputation as a respected African business executive.
He previously served as CEO of Nigerian e-commerce platform Konga and also held senior leadership positions at Nokia and Alcatel Lucent across Africa and Europe.
The resurfacing allegations have triggered widespread debate online about workplace relationships, mental health, and corporate pressure.
More so, the dangers of alleged blackmail, even as unanswered questions surrounding Imudia’s death continue to linger.
