CUE Announces Mass Permanent and Pensionable Jobs-How to Apply

The Commission for University Education (CUE) has announced multiple job opportunities across various departments within the institution, with most of the positions being offered on permanent and pensionable terms.

In a notice dated Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the Commission invited qualified and suitable candidates to apply for the advertised vacancies.

“A beacon of excellence in the Kenyan university education landscape, the Commission is steadfastly upholding its mandate to promote, advance, and assure quality university education. To achieve these objectives, CUE seeks to recruit dynamic, result-oriented, competent, and self-driven individuals for the positions listed below,” read part of the notice.

CUE Announces Mass Jobs

The Commission has advertised a total of 30 positions, with vacancies ranging from one to three depending on the role. Out of the 30 positions, three are contract-based while the remaining 27 are on permanent and pensionable terms.

Among the top positions advertised are Corporation Secretary and Director Legal Services, Director Internal Audit and Risk Assurance, and Deputy Director Corporate Communication and Public Relations, all of which are contract positions.

Other vacancies advertised on permanent and pensionable terms include Assistant Commission Secretary Programme Accreditation, Assistant Commission Secretary-Institutional Accreditation, Assistant Commission Secretary-Quality Assurance, Principal Librarian, Principal Planning Officer, Principal ICT Officer, Senior Programme Accreditation Officer, Senior Quality Assurance Officer, Research Officer, Accountant, Senior ICT Assistant, Driver, and Office Assistant, among others.

How to Apply

The Commission said details for each advertised position, including qualifications and application procedures, are available on its official website, https://www.cue.or.ke/, under the careers section.

Interested and qualified candidates have been directed to submit their applications online through the careers portal available on the CUE website. The Commission noted that hard-copy applications will not be considered.

CUE further stated that shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates during interviews for verification purposes.

All applications must reach the Commission on or before June 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. East Africa Time.

Successful candidates will also be required to provide several clearance documents before receiving appointment letters.

These include a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and a clearance certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

The Commission also stressed that it is an all-inclusive employer and warned that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
