Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology has announced a fresh recruitment drive targeting qualified professionals for several senior administrative and technical positions.
In a public vacancies announcement released by the university, the institution invited applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill positions including Registrar Administration, University Librarian, Procurement Officer, Maintenance Officer, Catering Officer and ICT Technicians.
According to the notice, the recruitment exercise is aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, institutional management and service delivery within the university through the appointment of experienced professionals across different departments.
“The Registrar Administration shall provide strategic leadership and coordination of administrative functions within the University, ensuring efficient implementation of policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation and University statutes,” the university stated in the advertisement.
Among the top positions advertised is that of Registrar Administration, where applicants are required to possess a Master’s Degree in Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Educational Administration or a related field.
The university further stated that candidates applying for the registrar position must have at least nine years of experience.
“Candidates must have at least nine years’ administrative experience, three years of which must be at a senior management level, preferably within a university setting,” Kiriri stated.
“The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong professional competence in administration and management, policy interpretation and implementation,” the advertisement added.
The institution also announced a vacancy for the position of University Librarian, noting that the successful candidate will oversee management of library services and support teaching, learning, research and innovation activities.
According to the notice, the librarian will supervise implementation of library policies, management of library resources, coordination of user support services, ICT applications and electronic resources management.
“The role also includes reviewing library resources, preparing reports, and developing proposals for the acquisition of library materials to ensure efficient and quality service delivery,” the university said.
Applicants for the librarian’s position are expected to possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science or its equivalent and at least eight years of relevant experience, preferably within institutions of higher learning.

The university also advertised the position of Procurement Officer, saying the officer will coordinate procurement operations, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, contract management and procurement planning.
“The Procurement officer shall be responsible for co-ordinating procurement operations, including requisition processing, sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, contract management, procurement planning, record management, and preparation of tender and evaluation documents,” the institution stated.
Candidates interested in the procurement role must possess a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or a related discipline and must be registered members of the Kenya Institute of Supply Management (KISM).
In the maintenance department, the institution announced a vacancy for Maintenance Officer, whose responsibilities will include overseeing repairs and maintenance of university buildings, facilities and equipment.
“The applicant shall be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, maintenance, and repair of University buildings, facilities, and grounds,” the advertisement read.
The university noted that candidates applying for the maintenance role should possess qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Welding and Fabrication, Carpentry, Plumbing or related maintenance fields, coupled with at least five years of relevant experience.
The institution further advertised a Catering Officer position, with the successful applicant expected to supervise culinary staff and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and institutional food service regulations.
“The applicant should have proven ability to supervise culinary staff, ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality in food preparation and service,” the university stated.
Applicants for the catering position are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or an equivalent qualification alongside six years of relevant experience.

The university additionally invited applications for ICT Technicians, who will be tasked with installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software and network systems.
“The ICT Technician will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and network systems within the University,” the notice stated.
Applicants for the ICT positions must hold Bachelor’s degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields and possess at least three years of experience.
Kiriri Women’s University directed interested candidates to submit two copies of application letters together with copies of academic and professional certificates, transcripts, testimonials and curriculum vitae.
The institution further instructed applicants to provide names and addresses of three referees, including one current or former employer, and indicate their current remuneration packages.
Applications are to be addressed to the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology, P.O. Box 49274-00100, Nairobi.
“So as to reach us by Friday 29th May, 2026,” the university stated in the announcement.
