Makueni County Announces 50+ Govt Jobs Applications: How to Apply

The Public Service Board of Makueni County is inviting applications from competent persons for more than fifty (50) vacant positions available in six county departments.

The application should reach the Board by 1500 hours (East Africa Time), Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

The board has announced that it is in the process of appointing, pursuant to Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and in accordance with Section 59 of the County Governments’ Act 2012, “competent and qualified persons.

Employment Opportunities in Makueni County

There are currently four vacancies in the Office of the Governor.

The titles include;

Chief Officer- Public Service Management.
Chief Officer – Planning, Budget, and Revenue.
Chief Officer – Health Services.
Information Officer 11 (Job group J).The

Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives Development Department has the maximum vacancies of 21 positions.

Minister appoints 9 Assistant Agricultural Officers III, 7 Assistant Livestock Production Officers III, 2 Veterinary Officers, Cooperative Auditor I, Assistant Fisheries Officer III, and Human Resource Assistant III.

The Department of ICT, Education, and Internship opened 16 ECDE teaching opportunities.

Positions available are 5 ECDE Teacher III, 3 Assistant ECDE Teacher II, and 8 Assistant ECDE Teacher III.

Job Vacancies in Makueni County

Other Government Ministries/ Departments have the following vacant Job positions: –

Finance.
Planning.
Budget and Revenue with 1 Member for the Makueni County Executive Audit Committee.
Office of County Attorney-1 Chief Legal Officer [Job Group ‘M’].
Department of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation-3 positions: Support Staff, Senior Support Staff, and Senior Inspector (Drilling).

“All applications should reach the board on or before Wednesday, 15th July 2026 at 5.00 p.m. East African time,” reads the notice signed by CS Radempta Kavindu, Secretary/CEO of the Makueni County Public Service Board.

The Board indicated that the complete job descriptions and requirements for appointment were on its website and on notice boards at the County Government Headquarters, County Assembly Office, and the Public Service Board Office.
