KMTC Announces Scholarship for Community Health Nursing Students

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has announced new fully paid scholarship opportunities for students seeking to pursue nursing courses in the 2026/2027 academic year.

In a statement dated Thursday, May 21, 2026, KMTC said the scholarships are being offered in partnership with the Beyond Zero Initiative under the KMTC/Beyond Zero Nursing Scholarship programme.

The scholarships target students enrolling for the Certificate course in Community Health Nursing set to begin in September 2026.

“Successful applicants will receive full scholarship for the duration of the course. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply,” KMTC said in the statement.

The College noted that the scholarship programme aims to support deserving students and help strengthen healthcare delivery in Kenya by training more community health nurses.

According to KMTC, priority will be given to qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (ASAL) counties, underserved minority communities, and other vulnerable and marginalised groups willing to serve their communities after graduation.

Applicants are required to submit a handwritten essay of not more than 200 words explaining why they deserve the scholarship and how they plan to contribute to their communities upon completing the course.

KMTC further announced that applications must be submitted to the Director and Chief Executive Officer of the institution on or before June 13, 2026.

At the same time, the institution informed students that the KUCCPS portal has officially reopened for course revision, giving learners another opportunity to apply for healthcare-related courses at KMTC.

How to Apply

KMTC said applicants must begin the process by creating an account using a valid personal email address.

Those without an email are advised to first create one before proceeding with registration.

Applicants are then required to visit the KMTC admissions portal at admissions.kmtc.ac.ke, where those who already have accounts can log in using their registered email address and password, while new users must click on the “Register” button located at the top right corner of the page.

After clicking register, applicants are directed to an account creation form where they must enter their full name, email address, and a password that is easy to remember.

Once the account is successfully created, applicants should proceed by filling in the online application form step by step until all required information is completed.

They are then required to click the “Submit” button to submit their details, after which the system will generate a completed application form for review.

Applicants must carefully check all the information for accuracy and, once satisfied, click on “Save Changes” to confirm their details.

After this, applicants should access their dashboard and click on the option labelled “Apply Beyond Zero Scholarship,” where they are required to fill in all the necessary information and carefully review the Beyond Zero application form before final submission.

Once the application is complete, candidates must print out the duly filled form, attach all required supporting documents, and ensure the documents are properly signed and stamped as required.

The completed application package should then be sent to the Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kenya Medical Training College, P.O. Box 30195 – 00100, Nairobi.
