Interior Ministry Announces Mass Jobs Paying Up to Ksh 180,000 – How to Apply

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration has announced 80 job opportunities across its various departments, inviting qualified Kenyans to apply before the May 26, 2026, deadline.
In a notice dated Friday, May 22, 2026, the ministry said the vacancies are available under the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration and the State Department for Correctional Services.
“The Ministry of Interior and National Administration is responsible for maintaining internal security, coordinating national administration, and managing civil registration, immigration as well as correctional services in the country. If you are ready to serve, visit our official website to view available job positions,” read part of the notice.
According to the Public Service Commission (PSC), the vacancies target professional and leadership positions in peace building, government reception services, and probation services as the government seeks to strengthen service delivery and address staffing gaps in key institutions.
Positions Advertised by Ministry of Interior
Under the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, led by Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, the vacancies are in the Peace Building and Conflict Management Directorate and Government Reception Services.
The advertised positions include Secretary, Director, Deputy Director, Assistant Director, and Senior Principal Lecturer roles.

Meanwhile, the State Department for Correctional Services, led by Principal Secretary Salome Beacco, has advertised positions within the Probation Department.
The vacancies include Secretary, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director positions, with the largest number of openings falling under the Deputy Director – Probation role.
According to the advert, the ministry is seeking candidates with extensive experience ranging from eight to 18 years, depending on the position applied for.

- Secretary, Peace Building and Conflict Management – 1 vacancy
- Director, Peace Building and Conflict Management – 2 vacancies
- Deputy Director, Peace Building and Conflict Management – 6 vacancies
- Assistant Director, Peace Building and Conflict Management – 7 vacancies
- Senior Principal Lecturer – 7 vacancies
- Deputy Director Reception Services – 6 vacancies
- Assistant Director Reception Services – 7 vacancies
- Secretary, Probation – 15 vacancies
- Deputy Director – Probation – 21 vacancies
- Assistant Director – Probation – 8 vacancies
Qualifications for Key Positions
For the Deputy Director, Peace Building and Conflict Management position, applicants must have at least 12 years of cumulative service experience, including three years as an Assistant Director or in a comparable role in the public service.
Candidates are also required to possess a bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Peace and Conflict Management, Political Science, Sociology, Law, Diplomacy and International Relations, Criminology, Psychology, Strategic Studies, or related fields from a recognised university.

The officer will be responsible for duties including coordinating peace-building programmes, implementing conflict management policies, overseeing early warning systems, facilitating research, and supporting national reconciliation initiatives.
For the Secretary, Peace Building and Conflict Management role, applicants must have at least 18 years of experience, including three years serving as Director in a comparable position.
Candidates are also required to hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in relevant fields alongside a leadership course certificate lasting at least four weeks.
The ministry said the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership on peace building and conflict management, oversee policy implementation, coordinate national and county peace initiatives, and spearhead conflict prevention and mediation efforts across the country.
