GSU Announces Public Auction of Vehicles and Store Items

On Wednesday, June 10, 2006, the General Service Unit (GSU) will hold a public auction of motor vehicles and other goods that are boarded and in use at GSU Headquarters in Ruaraka on Thika Road.
The National Police Service (NPS), acting through the GSU and duly appointed auctioneer M/s Whitestone and Company Auctioneers, invited all interested potential bidders to participate in the public sale.
The auction will start at 10:00 AM, with items sold “as-is-where-is.”
In an advert on Tuesday, May 26, the Ministry of Interior said the goods for sale included boarded motor vehicles, plus various used store items deemed unserviceable or obsolete for operational requirements.

Interested parties may bring the items to be auctioned at the locations indicated in the catalogue from Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to Monday, June 9, 2026, between 9 AM and 4 PM, inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
“The catalogue listing the details of the sale and terms and conditions can be downloaded at no cost,” stated GSU “It is accessible at www.tenders.go.ke and www.nationalpolice.go.ke.”
M/s Whitestone and Company Auctioneers is overseeing the GSU’s sale with the auction firm, which operates from Nairobi’s P.O Box 79157-00400, listed contact numbers 0724603575 and 0722660237.

Public Auction of GSU Surplus Assets
Interior Ministry said the auction is part of the GSU’s regular disposal of boarded items to clear storage and recover value from obsolete equipment, in line with government procedures and requirements for public bodies to dispose of surplus assets by public auction.

“Prospective buyers are urged to personally inspect the items before the auction day to avoid unnecessary post-purchase discrepancies. All sales will be final and binding as per the catalogue instructions,” reads the advert.
The sale will take place at the GSU headquarters in Ruaraka.
Interested individuals are advised to arrive early to complete registration and verification before the bidding begins on June 10.
