Detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) Kilimani arrested a suspected serial burglar on June 4, 2026, and recovered electronics and gadgets valued at nearly Ksh 900,000 following a targeted operation in Kangemi.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that officers arrested Daniel Mosomi Saisi after receiving reports of a home break-in from two Serengeti Court residents in Kileleshwa.
“He blatantly invaded their homes in the dark of night, causing widespread disorder and making off with an assortment of valuables totaling an estimated Ksh 900,000,” the DCI said in a public communication.

According to the agency, the officers embarked on an “all-out manhunt” right away after receiving the complaints.
The search eventually led officers to the Millennium Apartments, located along Thiongo Road in Kangemi, where they took the suspect into custody.
“The recovered items, formerly indicators of leisure and comfort, were found to be tangible traces of a criminal spree,” the DCI confirmed, listing a base-proof light headset, a PlayStation gaming console charging setup, an iPad 11, a portable JBL speaker, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, and accessories for a PlayStation gaming console among them.
The complainants later positively identified the stolen goods as belonging to them and confirmed they were taken during the Kileleshwa burglaries.
Photos made available by the DCI show officers displaying the recovered items along with an exhibit form from DCI Kilimani, Nairobi.
Laptops, a PlayStation controller, and mobile phones were among the many electronics arranged on display as exhibits.
