Mombasa County Announces 80 Job Vacancies: How to Apply

The Mombasa County Public Service Board has announced 80 job vacancies across various departments in the County Government of Mombasa, offering employment opportunities for qualified professionals in health, agriculture, livestock, education, and other public service areas.

The vacancies, advertised through the county’s Public Service Board, target skilled and competent candidates seeking to join the county workforce.

Successful applicants will serve on a three-year contract basis, according to the official recruitment notice.

“The Mombasa County Public Service Board is looking for suitable, qualified, and competent persons to fill the following positions in the County Government of Mombasa,” the notice stated.

The recruitment drive includes positions at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital, where the county seeks medical professionals to strengthen healthcare services.

Among the available positions are Pharmacists, Medical Specialists in Radiology, Neurosurgery, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as Senior Medical Specialists in Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatric Intensive Care.

Other health-related vacancies include Pharmaceutical Technologists III and Health Administrative Officers III.

The county has also advertised positions within the Blue Economy, Cooperatives, Agriculture, and Livestock department, including Veterinary Officers, Assistant Animal Health Officers III, and Animal Health Assistants II.

Health, Agriculture, and Education Sectors Targeted in Recruitment

County government has also created employment opportunities in the education sector, with vacancies for ECDE Teacher II and Support Staff (Care Giver) positions under the Education and Vocational Training department.

The advertisement indicated that 30 positions are available for ECDE Teacher II while 20 positions have been set aside for Support Staff.

Vacancies are part of efforts to enhance service delivery and improve staffing levels in essential county departments.

“Interested and qualified candidates are required to complete employment application details from the Mombasa County Public Service Board website,” the recruitment notice stated.

The board advised applicants to submit certified copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, transcripts, identification documents, and any other supporting materials required during the application process.

The application deadline has been set for July 13, 2026.

Candidates who meet the requirements have been encouraged to apply before the closing date to be considered for the available opportunities.

Applicants Warned Against Fraud During Recruitment

The Mombasa County Public Service Board has emphasized that the recruitment process is free and warned members of the public against individuals claiming to offer assistance in exchange for payment.

“Mombasa County Public Service Board DOES NOT USE AGENTS nor CHARGE ANY FEE for its services,” the notice stated.

The board further explained that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted and required to present original documents, including national identity cards, academic certificates, professional certificates, and other relevant clearance documents during interviews.

The notice also highlighted that the County Government of Mombasa is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging applications from youth, women, persons living with disabilities, marginalized groups, and minority communities.

“Canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification,” the board cautioned applicants.
