Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has congratulated Kenyatta Trust beneficiary Moses Ekuwam after he graduated with a Master’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from the China University of Petroleum.
Moses, who comes from Turkana County, has also secured a Chinese government scholarship that will enable him to pursue a PhD in the same field at the university in Beijing.
According to the Kenyatta Trust, Moses joined their education programme in 2014 after being identified as a bright student with a strong academic potential.
He began his secondary school education at Bungoma High School before getting an opportunity to further his studies in China.

Uhuru’s Remarks
“Congratulations, Moses Ekuwam. It has been a joy to watch your journey from a young scholar from Turkana County to a Master’s graduate and now a PhD scholar. May this next chapter bring even greater success,” Uhuru said.
The Kenyatta Trust has continued to support academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students across the country.
This is achieved by providing scholarships and mentorship, which are aimed at helping students pursue quality education and unlock their potential.

The programme aims to help learners complete their education and build careers that contribute to national development.
