The Geothermal Development Company (GDC) has announced 14 career opportunities across senior management, technical and administrative roles in a new recruitment drive aimed at strengthening its operations in Kenya’s energy sector.

The company traces its establishment to the Energy Act No. 12 of 2006, which followed the adoption of Sessional Paper No. 4 on Energy in 2004.

Through this policy shift, the government restructured the energy sector into five key sub-sectors: generation, transmission, distribution, regulation and policy.

Within this framework, the Geothermal Development Company focuses on geothermal resource development under the generation sub-sector.

As a result, the company now seeks qualified professionals to support the delivery of its mandate.
