Kenya Re Announces New Job Opportunities in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda

Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re) has announced nine job opportunities across Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda, allowing qualified professionals to join the corporation and its subsidiary offices.
Kenya Re is a leading reinsurer listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The corporation holds a B rating from AM Best and an AA+ rating from the Global Credit Rating Company (GCR).
The advertised roles span management, actuarial, research, marketing, claims, and administrative functions. Of the nine positions, six are permanent, while three are available on five-year contracts.
Vacant Positions at Kenya Re
The corporation is recruiting for the following positions:
- General Manager, Internal Audit – Kenya | Grade 5 | Long-term Contract (5 years) | 1 vacancy
- General Manager, Kenya Re Foundation – Kenya | Grade 5 | Long-term Contract (5 years) | 1 vacancy
- Chief Representative, Rwanda Liaison Office – Rwanda | Grade 4C | Long-term Contract (5 years) | 1 vacancy
- Assistant Manager, Research and Development – Kenya | Grade 3C | Permanent | 1 vacancy
- Assistant Manager, Marketing and Development – Kenya | Grade 3C | Permanent | 1 vacancy
- Assistant Manager, Actuarial – Kenya | Grade 3C | Permanent | 1 vacancy
- Senior Actuarial Officer – Kenya | Grade 3A | Permanent | 1 vacancy
- Claims Officer – Uganda | Grade 2B | Permanent | 1 vacancy
- Assistant Administrator, Rwanda Liaison Office – Rwanda | Grade 2A | Long-term Contract (5 years) | 1 vacancy

How to Apply
To help candidates understand the qualifications and responsibilities attached to each role, Kenya Re has directed them to review the detailed vacancy information before submitting their applications.
“Interested and qualified candidates can access detailed information and requirements about the vacant positions from the Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited’s website, www.kenyare.co.ke and from Eagle HR Consultants website, www.eaglehr.co.ke,” the Corporation stated.
Meanwhile, the corporation will engage successful candidates under either permanent and pensionable terms or five-year contracts, depending on the position.
Kenya Re will apply the terms outlined in its Human Resource Policy and procedures manual.

Application Requirements
Candidates must submit complete applications containing the following:
- An application letter
- A detailed CV
- A copy of the National Identity Card
- Names and contacts, including telephone numbers and email addresses, of three professional referees
In addition, candidates must provide specific information in their CVs to support the recruitment process.
“Applicants should indicate on the CV their current/last salary and whether they are persons living with disability,” it stated.
Kenya Re has set October 2, 2026 as the deadline for applications. Therefore, interested candidates should review the requirements for their preferred positions and submit their applications before the closing date.
