The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has concluded a two-week advanced criminal investigations course aimed at boosting the agency’s capacity to combat sophisticated digital and financial crimes linked to mobile lending platforms, including M-KOPA.
The training, which took place at the National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA), brought together detectives from across the country for intensive sessions on detecting and countering emerging forms of fraud.
The course, dubbed the M-KOPA Advanced Criminal Investigations Programme, focused on equipping officers with advanced investigative skills in handling complex digital fraud cases and developing countermeasures against evolving criminal techniques in the fintech space.
