JKUAT Enterprise and Kenya Re Announce Job Opportunities

JKUAT Enterprises Limited (JKUATES) and Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re) have announced a wide range of career opportunities.
The recruitment drives, published separately by the two institutions, target experienced professionals in human resources, finance, information communication technology, legal services, insurance, corporate administration, fund management and executive leadership positions.
JKUATES, a state corporation fully owned by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), is recruiting on behalf of the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), while Kenya Re is seeking candidates for vacancies at its Nairobi headquarters and subsidiaries in Tanzania, Zambia and Côte d’Ivoire.
“Our client, Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, experienced, result-oriented and highly motivated Kenyans to fill the following vacant positions,” JKUAT stated.

The positions advertised by KDIC include Director Human Resource and Administration, Director Finance and Planning, Director Information Communication and Technology, Deputy Director Deposit Protection (Liquidation), Deputy Director Fund Management and Assistant Director Legal (Liquidation).
Other opportunities include Assistant Director Information Communication and Technology (Business Applications), Principal Deposit Protection Officer positions in Risk and Bank Examination, Research and Data Analytics, and Asset Management, as well as Principal Legal Officer (Liquidation), Principal Administration Officer and Principal Security Officer.
The corporation is also recruiting for Senior Legal Officer (Liquidation), Senior Fund Management Officer, Senior Office Administrator, Deposit Protection Officer II positions and Corporate Communication Officer II.
JKUATES stated that applicants must submit a signed application letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of their national identity card, and academic and professional certificates through the designated e-recruitment platform.
“Applications are to be received not later than Tuesday, 30th June, 2026 at 5:00 pm,” the notice further states.
“This is a re-advertisement. Candidates who applied in response to the previous advertisement are encouraged to re-apply again, as prior applications will not be considered,” JKUAT added.

Kenya Re Seeks Senior Executives and Specialists
Meanwhile, Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited has announced 12 vacancies across its operations in Kenya and abroad.
The corporation described itself as a Government-owned entity, a leading reinsurer listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
It is also rated B by A.M. Best and AA+ by the Global Credit Rating Company (GCR).
Among the senior positions advertised are General Manager-Reinsurance Business, General Manager-Legal Services and General Manager-Corporate Services, all based in Nairobi under three-year contracts.
Kenya Re is also seeking a Chief Executive Officer/Principal Officer for its Tanzania subsidiary based in Dar es Salaam, as well as a Chief Financial Officer for Tanzania.
Another Chief Financial Officer position has been advertised for the corporation’s Zambia operations in Lusaka.
Additional vacancies include Assistant Manager Internal Audit, Senior Underwriter Life-Kenya, Senior Underwriter International Business Facultative/Treaty, Senior Underwriter West Africa, Senior Project Officer and Executive Analyst.
“Some of these positions will be on either fixed term contract or permanent and pensionable terms of employment, in accordance with the provisions of the Corporation’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual and as indicated in the schedule above,” Kenya Re stated.

Application Deadlines and Inclusion
Kenya Re directed interested applicants to access detailed job specifications, requirements and application procedures through its careers section and submit applications via email.
The corporation indicated that candidates should provide information on their current or most recent salary and disclose whether they are persons living with disabilities.
Applications for Kenya Re positions must be submitted before the closing date of June 29, 2026.
Both organizations have emphasized inclusivity in the recruitment process.
JKUATES, in particular, invited youths, women, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups to apply; canvassing, however, would result in automatic disqualification.
