Kaimosi Friends University Announces Staff Recruitment: How to Apply

Kaimosi Friends University is filling numerous teaching and non-teaching positions.

The advert published by the university lists vacant posts across various departments, including Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Research, Business and Economics, Education and Social Sciences, Science and Computing and Informatics, as well as Administration, Finance, Planning and Development.

KAFU has stated that the recruitment process is geared towards building capacity and fulfilling its mission and mandate.

The vacant positions are for the cadre of Senior Lecturer, Lecturer requiring higher academic qualifications up to the professor level, Tutorial Fellows, Technologists, as well as administration staff, namely Senior Assistant Registrar and Accountant.

Specific Vacancies and Employment Conditions

Some specific vacancies announced are: Senior Lecturer (Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Statistics), Lecturer (Clinical Medicine, Accounting & Finance, French, Curriculum & Instruction, Social Sciences, Computer Science, IT), Tutorial Fellow (Agriculture & Extension, Chemistry), Associate Professor (Curriculum Studies, Biology/Entomology), Senior Technical Assistant, and Accountant.

It states that this is empowering globally, and most of the posts are permanent and pensionable with attractive remuneration as per university standards.

However, the Farm Manager and the Tutorial Fellows posts will be on a 3-year renewable contract.

Application Process and Requirements

Candidates interested in applying for any of the posts will need to submit a scanned soft copy of their application.

It will be required that it consists of a cover letter indicating the post applied for and the advert number, a detailed Curriculum Vitae, the current salary, certified copies of certificates and testimonials, and an ID or passport.

Three letters of recommendation will also be needed and should be sent to exterpos1@kafu.ac.ke on or before Monday, May 18, 2026, at 5 pm.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified of their applications, and candidates who lobby will be disqualified.
