Kamba Benga Artist Solo Sita Dies After Long Illness

Kamba Benga artist Solo Sita, born Bonface Kyambu, has died after a long battle with illness. He passed away while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.

DJ Biado announced the artist’s death on July 3 through his Facebook page, drawing emotional reactions from fans and the wider Kamba music fraternity.

The announcement not only confirmed the loss but also highlighted the difficult journey the musician had endured.

“It is with deep sadness and heavy heart that I announce the passing of Solo Sita (Bonface Kyambu ) a beloved Kamba Benga artist, who departed this life early today while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with illness,” DJ Biado announced.

Solo Sita Legacy of Resilience and Inspiration

Throughout his career, Solo Sita built a strong reputation for his unique sound and exceptional guitar skills.

Even as illness took a toll on his health, he remained determined and hopeful. As a result, many people continued to draw inspiration from his strength and unwavering spirit during challenging times.

“Solo Sita touched many lives through his music, humility, and resilience. Even in the face of great challenges, he remained an inspiration to many people who stood with him throughout his journey,” DJ Biado noted.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, the Kamba music fraternity, and all his fans. May you find strength, comfort, and peace during this painful time,” DJ Biado stated.

Meanwhile, family members and close associates are expected to share further details regarding burial arrangements and memorial plans in the coming days.

“May the Almighty grant Solo Sita eternal rest, and may his legacy live on through the music he shared with the world. Rest in peace brother Solo Sita. You fought a good fight. Your voice will never be forgotten,” DJ Biado condoled.
