The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced partial closures on several major roads in Nairobi to allow ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
The works will affect key routes including Kenyatta Avenue, Ngong Road, and Haile Selassie Avenue.
The authority says the projects aim to improve urban mobility and enhance road safety across the city.
A section of Kenyatta Avenue, Valley Road, and Jakaya Kikwete Road will be partially closed from Friday, June 12, 2026, to Friday, February 12, 2027.
KURA says the closure will allow the contractor to construct a bridge while maintaining safety for road users.
Motorists will be required to use alternative routes as indicated in traffic diversion plans.

Ngong Road will also face a short-term partial closure from Thursday, June 11, 2026, to Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The authority explains that the work involves installing twin cross culverts between Windy Ridge and Westwood Park Road to improve drainage and reduce flooding.
Drivers have been advised to follow diversion routes and traffic marshals on site.
