Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of attempting to incite Kenyans ahead of a planned protest commemorating victims of the 2024 Finance Bill demonstrations.

Sudi made the remarks while addressing supporters, claiming Gachagua was misleading citizens over the planned Thursday, June 25, 2026, commemoration protests for those who died after being shot by police during the 2024 Finance Bill demonstrations.

The vocal lawmaker accused Gachagua of creating fear among Kenyans by warning about possible chaos during the demonstrations, saying such claims were aimed at influencing public opinion.

“Mr. One-Term MP, Quarter-Term Deputy President, mtu ‘bludifucking’. I see you have been trying to incite Kenyans since the other day. Oh, don’t go to demonstrations; there will be goons, and there will be people planted there. Instead of telling Kenyans the truth, you are the one planning crimes. You are the one arranging all that rubbish,” Sudi said.

Sudi Questions Gachagua’s Political Record

Sudi questioned Gachagua’s leadership journey, repeatedly referring to him as a ‘quarter-term Deputy President’ following his impeachment from office.

The MP claimed that Gachagua benefited from the support of several individuals before turning against those who helped him rise politically.

“Someone who failed to complete even a quarter term as deputy president until they were impeached by more than 200 MPs. You are someone who has fallen very low. I heard you the other day saying that Farouk and I have little intelligence. This intelligence I have, Mr. Dorcas, Quarter-Term, Wantam; this intelligence is the same one that helped you become deputy president,” he stated.

Further, Sudi alleged that Gachagua had lost political influence, claiming his leadership ambitions had collapsed after reaching the highest levels of government.

“That is why you were only a quarter-term deputy president. You will never even become a chief, so stop bragging there and talking too much. Continue deceiving those two million, three million people. When you are done with this business, go back home and sit with the elders, Mr. Quarter-Term,” he added.

MP Accuses Former DP Gachagua of Tribal Politics

The MP also accused Gachagua of promoting divisive politics, particularly regarding the Mt. Kenya region, and urged Kenyans to reject what he termed incitement.

“You are inciting Kenyans, you tribal person, you foolish person. Stop inciting the people of Mt. Kenya; they are Kenyans. That is why I always say, if the people of the mountain are not even in your circle, that circle is dead,” Sudi said.

He claimed that he and others played a role in helping Gachagua secure the Deputy President position, dismissing allegations that they lacked intelligence.

“I saw you the other day saying that Farouk and I are Standard Two dropouts. Have you ever heard me complain? We people you call dropouts, are the ones who helped you get that deputy president seat,” he said.

Sudi concluded by claiming Gachagua’s political career had reached its end, warning that he would not secure future leadership positions.

“Know that moving forward, you will never even become a chief in your village or hold any position in Mathira Constituency. Even the people of Wamunyoro know that you are a foolish person,” he said.
