NIFC said these companies demonstrate growing investor confidence in Kenya’s economy and the country’s ability to provide a stable environment for innovation and business expansion.
The certification process is part of efforts to position Kenya as a preferred destination for investors seeking opportunities in Africa’s fast-growing markets.
NIFC Chief Executive Officer Daniel Mainda said the certifications highlight the authority’s role in supporting international businesses entering Kenya.
“Every firm we certify is making a deliberate vote of confidence in Kenya’s future. Collectively, these firms are building the ecosystem that will define the next generation of finance in Africa—where capital is mobilised, technology is commercialised, innovation is financed and sustainable investment thrives. That is precisely the future the Nairobi International Financial Centre was established to deliver,” Mainda stated.

The Centre said several newly certified firms are exploring Kenya’s leadership in digital assets and tokenisation while developing solutions ranging from asset-backed instruments to blockchain payments, settlement infrastructure, tokenised securities, digital capital-raising platforms and artificial intelligence-powered financial services.

The NIFC also highlighted growing momentum in carbon finance and climate investment, saying certified firms are developing projects that will mobilise investment, generate carbon credits, create jobs and contribute to Kenya’s green growth agenda.
“Through innovation and commitment to the Centre’s strategy, the Authority is also placing deliberate emphasis on private equity, venture capital, climate finance, digital assets, sustainable technologies and emerging financial technologies,” NIFC stated.
The authority said partnerships with global financial centres are strengthening Kenya’s connection to international markets and supporting its ambition to become a preferred gateway for investment into Africa.
The NIFC continues to work with regulators and government agencies to create a competitive financial ecosystem capable of supporting long-term prosperity.
“As investor interest continues to grow, the Authority remains committed to working with government, regulators and the private sector to build a globally competitive financial centre that drives long-term prosperity for Kenya and the African continent,” NIFC said.
