NCBA launches PropertyDuka with PropwizAI, simplifying property ownership through AI search, financing tools, insurance and home services

NCBA Group has launched PropertyDuka, an AI-powered digital property marketplace PropwizAI, designed to simplify the property ownership journey by bringing together property discovery, financing, insurance, construction and home-related services within a single platform.

The platform enables users to search for residential and commercial properties across Kenya, while also accessing financial tools and services that support decision-making from the earliest stages of property ownership.

“We believe banking should be assessed based on progress. This progress starts with belief & PropertyDuka demonstrates our dedication to engaging with customers from that very first moment,” said James Gossip, Managing Director, NCBA Bank Kenya.

PropertyDuka allows buyers and renters to browse homes, apartments, land and commercial properties available for sale, rent or auction using filters such as location, property type and price range.

Each listing includes photographs, pricing, location details, property features and estimated monthly mortgage repayments, helping users compare options more efficiently.

PropertyDuka Integrates Financial Planning Tools

At the same time, the platform integrates financial planning tools directly into the search process.

Users can access mortgage and construction loan calculators that estimate monthly repayments based on property value, deposit, employment status, age and loan tenure.

“Our role is to enable our customers’ dreams. That shift changes everything. When banking begins with belief instead of paperwork, every product becomes part of a much bigger journey,” Gossip added.

Beyond calculators, PropertyDuka connects users to a range of financial solutions, including mortgages, construction financing, insurance, personal loans and solar financing.

As a result, customers can evaluate affordability and funding options as they explore properties.

“Housing is one of Kenya’s greatest economic opportunities. When more individuals buy, build, or invest in property, we boost construction, support local businesses, and enhance the economy,” Gossip said.

PropertyDuka AI Assistant Enhances Property Discovery

At the core of PropertyDuka is PropwizAI, an artificial intelligence-powered assistant that personalises the property search experience.

Through an interactive chat interface, the tool recommends suitable properties, provides pricing guidance and delivers relevant insights. Consequently, it reduces the need to manually sift through listings while helping users identify options that match their preferences more quickly.

NCBA Positions PropertyDuka as Complete Property Ecosystem

Beyond property search, PropertyDuka offers services that support construction, home improvement, and long-term property ownership.

The platform features sections for building materials, home furnishing products and professional services such as real estate agents, surveyors, valuers, mortgage advisers, architects and legal professionals.

In doing so, it aims to bring every stage of the property journey into one connected experience.

“Trust starts with transparency. PropertyDuka brings together verified sellers, recognised developers and trusted partners, giving customers greater confidence every step of the way,” said Dennis Njau, Group Director, Retail Banking.

To strengthen trust, sellers must register using government-issued identification, while companies provide valid registration documents and KRA PIN details.

Approved developers receive the NCBA Verified Seller badge, although the platform clarifies that it connects buyers and sellers without owning or guaranteeing listed properties.

“PropertyDuka brings trusted listings, affordability tools, financing, insurance, contractors and suppliers into one connected journey, so every next step feels like a continuation instead of another beginning,” he said.

Built on growing Duka marketplace ecosystem

PropertyDuka builds on the rapid expansion of NCBA’s broader Duka marketplace ecosystem.

Since the launch of CarDuka, the platform has grown from about 132,000 users at the start of 2025 to nearly 7 million users, facilitating over KSh 4 billion in transactions during the 2025 financial year.

The ecosystem now integrates PropertyDuka, CarDuka and AuctionsDuka through a single registration.

“CarDuka taught us that customers want connected experiences. PropertyDuka is the newest phase of extending one trusted ecosystem across the decisions that shape today,” said Lennox Mugambi, Group Director, Asset Finance and Business Solutions.

Overall, NCBA says the platform is designed to support individuals, families, developers and investors by reducing friction, improving trust and simplifying access to both property listings and financial services.
